I've been to Singapore twice in the past couple of years and I absolutely love it. There's such a mix of cultures which results in a whole mix of food, cultures and people. There's so much to do and eat in this little country so you'll never get bored. If you want to save money eat at the hawker centres, you'll find them everywhere. The main highlight whilst you're there will be Gardens by the Bay. Grab a big breakfast and head to the Merlion which is behind Marina Bay Sands then walk over to Gardens by the Bay and explore the magical gardens. I would say it's worth buying tickets for the Cloud Forest and the Walkway but the other paid attractions aren't necessary. Once you've finished exploring it should be late afternoon so go and grab some cheap food at Satay by the Bay and get ready for the night show at 7pm. Take a scarf or something to lie on and get ready to watch a spectacular show. We also spent a day walking around Little India, Haji Lane and the Golden Mosque (Masjid Sultan). A lot of people say Singapore is expensive but they tend to go to Marina Bay Sands and Clarke Quay for drinks. If you venture out of these areas it's easy not to spend lots of money.
